Greece Nightlife: The Best Greek Islands for Partying
If you’re planning on dancing the night away on your Greek island hopping adventure, the best time to experience this is peak season when there are more visitors to the islands. Most clubs are only open during the summer months (May-October).
Here are the BEST islands in Greece to experience the Greece nightlife:
1. Mykonos – The Most Popular Party Island in Greece
Picture yourself walking onto the sun-kissed beaches of Mykonos, one of the most popular nightlife destinations in Greece. Famous Super Paradise Beach will tempt you with colourful cocktails and hypnotic music from internationally recognized big-name DJs served at beach bars like Tropicana Club. The energy just increases when the sun sets.
And if you feel like being daring, think about spending a day island hopping from Mykonos to discover neighbouring treasures like Delos or Naxos.
Cavo Paradiso, positioned atop a cliff, is visible from the Aegean Sea. Missing it would be a mistake. This nightclub features famous all-night parties and the greatest names in electronic music.
Visit Scorpios Mykonos for a more relaxed atmosphere; its beach club combines boho appeal with rustic elegance, making it ideal for sunset sessions and preparations for the big night ahead.
However, there are other facets to the island of Mykonos than parties. Spend a day seeing the quaint lanes of Mykonos Town, where you can browse boutiques, eat Greek food at tavernas and see the world-famous Little Venice. Spend the evening at the open-air cinema and wander through the labyrinth of white-washed buildings. Mykonos also has some of the best beaches in Greece.
The Cavo Tagoo Hotel is the ideal place to start exploring the Mykonos party scene throughout your stay. This hotel, which is conveniently close to the vibrant nightlife, features exquisite suites, breathtaking views of the sea, and an infinity pool that appears to disappear into the distance. After dancing beneath the stars, it’s the ideal haven.
So, prepare yourself for an amazing island experience in Mykonos and pack your best party fits!

2. Ios Nightlife
In my opinion, Ios is the second best destination in Greece for partying (after Mykonos). The main nightlife destination in Ios is the winding Cycladic streets of Chora, a charming village and the island’s capital by day.
By night, popular bars such as Slammer, Traffic Bar, and Coo Bar draw in the crowds. As it gets later, walking around the surrounding cobbled streets reveals hidden gems like Shush, Delta, and Circus.
Disco69 is one of the most popular clubs in Ios—a highlight of the clubbing scene since it opened in 1974. Make sure you also visit Scorpion, which is located on a cliff just outside Chora.
During the day, the FarOut Beach Club is the perfect venue for beach parties. It’s located on Myopotos Beach, one of the best beaches in Ios. Make sure you also visit the EREGO beach club, which is located on Koumbara Beach.
If you’re visiting Ios for its nightlife, it’s best to stay in Ios Chora or on Myopotos Beach. These are the most popular places to stay in Ios, and there’s a huge range of accommodation options. The best options are Ios Backpackers or the FarOut Hotel & Spa.
I recommend booking at least nine months in advance because prices can become extortionate nearer the time.

3. Rhodes Nightlife
Rhodes is one of the most popular places to experience the nightlife in Greece and it tends to have an ever so slightly older demographic.
It has more people in their late 20s than the beautiful island of Zante which has more people in their young 20s, but Rhodes is also popular for family resorts and couples too.
The best place on the island for nightlife is Faliraki, a village in the north, not too far from Rhodes Town. It’s by the sea, of course, and is filled with lots of vibrant bars and great clubs where you can spend all night partying.
There are loads to choose from, but Bliss Cocktail & Shisha Bar, Jamaica Sports Bar and Yolo Club are the most popular and the best. The other options are still good though.
Aside from the nightlife, there are lots of great beaches to enjoy, such as Galazio Beach, which has some nice beach bars dotted along it, like Chaplin’s Beach Bar.
When it comes to where to stay, Mitsis Faliraki is a great option, especially if you are visiting during a full moon cycle as their Full Moon Parties on the beach are incredible.
All in all, Rhodes and Faliraki in particular makes for a great party destination, not only in Greece, but in Europe as a whole.

4. Kos Nightlife
There are many places to visit for a party in Greece. Kos Island contains some of the best party spots in Greece. Whether it is party bus rental, bar crawling or nightclubs, at Kos island there is a taste for everyone.
Although Kos is not as busy as Kavos, Malia, and Ayia Napa, it has a nightlife that can make you spend your whole night partying. Many like to visit the Kardenma area, which is home to Bar streets. The Bar Street strip has the best nightclubs and bars that can keep you partying all night.
You should visit Downtown Club to party all night. It is a popular venue and has great music, which makes it locals and tourists favorite destination.
If you want more party and still have time, you should head to Starlight Club. The atmosphere and ambiance are electric and can keep you dancing all night.
Kardenma strip contains many popular bars, such as Bliss Bar, Jam Bar, Bar 1960, and the Atheneon Bar. However, early in the day, you should head down to Kardenma Beach, where you can swim and enjoy water sports activities. Later on, you can watch the sunset and then head down to the beach bar for some delicious drinks.
Kos Town also has some more laid back nightlife options.

5. Zante Nightlife
When it comes to the best party islands in Greece, Zante (also known as Zakynthos) deserves a spot at the top of the list.
Having personally experienced the infectious vibes of this island, I can confidently say that it is a paradise for party enthusiasts and thrill-seekers (also for enthusiasts of the sea). Zante’s nightlife is legendary, offering something for everyone, from buzzing beach bars to foam parties, boat parties in the Ionian sea and high-energy super clubs.
Embark on your nocturnal adventure at Banana Beach. As one of the most popular spots on the island, it boasts spectacular beach bars where you can sip cocktails and dance with your toes in the sand.
Look out for Banana Baya and Cool Peppers, famed for their live DJ sets and electrifying atmosphere.
For a more laid-back yet lively experience, head to Cameo Island Club. This private island venue offers stunning views and unforgettable beach parties that last until the early morning hours. The coastal town of Tsilivi and Zakynthos Town also have some more laid back nightlife options.
If you’re a nightclub fan, Laganas is the place to be. Known as the hedonistic heart of Zante, Laganas is teeming with some of the best clubs in Greece that are popular with a younger crowd that will keep you partying all night long.
Rescue Club, in the Laganas area, is one of the island’s largest and features multiple rooms with different music genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone’s taste. Zeros Club is another go-to, renowned for its energetic foam parties and live performances.
Accommodations such as the Zante Plaza Hotel & Apartments offer both comfort and proximity to the best party venues, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to embrace the island’s vibrant party scene.
Whether you’re a party animal or someone looking to let loose, Zante promises an unforgettable experience.

6. Naxos Nightlife
While not as lively and vibrant as islands like Mykonos (the Ibiza of Greece), the nightlife in Naxos is not to be underestimated. It’s relatively subdued with just a number of clubs located in the main town, but this is the best island if you want a more relaxed, small-town vibe.
Naxos is definitely a fun and authentic place where you can escape the majority of crowds, and a must-visit on your Greek island hopping itinerary. In the evening, most of the activity takes place in the picturesque alleys of Chora, which is the main town on the island. Numerous cocktail bars and restaurants come alive with all sorts of music, from jazz to upbeat tunes and modern house.
Additionally, you can find beachside taverns sprinkled along the coast, mainly in Chora, Agios Prokopios, and Agia Anna. These are also where many establishments remain open until midnight, so you might want to look for accommodations in these areas. Hotel Proteas is a fantastic choice near the city center and beach.
In terms of the best bars to visit, don’t miss Like Home Bar! They’re best known for their authentic cocktails, cozy outdoor seating that overlooks the beach, amazing music, and warm atmosphere. For more adventurous souls, try Swing Bar, which is nestled on the beachfront and boasts ocean views as well as the charming Naxos Old Castle. They specialize in molecular mixology with drinks that use local delicacies like citron and Naxian cheese!

7. Nightlife in Santorini
If you’re searching for one of the best party islands in Greece, head to Santorini. This Cycladic island is famed for its captivating sunsets, beautiful architecture, romantic atmosphere, and unique beaches.
But something you may not initially think about with Santorini is its nightlife reputation. The island has even more exciting things besides picturesque views and romantic allure. The island is home to several bars, beach clubs, and clubs that will easily entertain you.
While things remain pretty calm in Oia at night, the same isn’t the case for Fira. This village truly comes to life when the sun goes down, with numerous bars and clubs to choose from.
Some of the best bars in Fira are Highlander, Two Brothers Bar, and Murphy’s. While there aren’t many clubs in Santorini, Koo Club and Enigma will help you have a fun night!
Nightlife in Santorini almost feels like a movie. People’ll be dancing on tables, DJs playing the latest hits, and a lively crowd. It’s hard not to have a great time!
When you need to get home safely, you can take the bus, order an Uber, or take a taxi. There are also plenty of food options in the area for a post-party snack or meal.
If you want to be close to the nightlife, staying in Fira is recommended. An excellent accommodation option is San Giorgio.

8. Paros Nightlife
Set in the heart of the Cyclades, Paros Island is a hidden gem for nightlife enthusiasts. While it might not rival Mykonos in the sheer volume of parties, Paros boasts its own vibrant scene with charming beach bars and lively clubs.
For party-loving travellers, the two main hubs on Paros are Naoussa and Parikia, each offering its unique vibe. There are also many hip beach clubs, with Punda Coast being the top one for parties. Renting a car in Paros will give you the flexibility to explore the island and hop from one lively spot to another with ease.
Parikia, the island’s bustling port town, is the obvious choice with its casual atmosphere, affordable accommodation, and a great variety of bars along its sea promenade and in the historic centre’s narrow alleys. Don’t miss The Dubliner and Pirate Bar for a fun night out. A great place to stay here is Siroco’s.
On the other hand, Naoussa offers a more upmarket experience with fancy cocktail bars like Sante Cocktail Bar and Linardo. This picturesque town, with its historic marina, is perfect for dining al fresco at upscale seafood restaurants and indulging in boutique shopping.
Accommodation here tends to be more expensive and sophisticated, catering to those looking for a touch of luxury. An adults-only Christina Hotel is a great choice.
